It may come across as strange when talking about the need to look at your own art. Your view, as the artist, is very different to any one else's. May sound a bit obvious but you might want to stand back and think what this actually means and in how this can become another visual skill. This in turn can help you better understand how to improve your work.

The use of colour that can create a sense of balance, the single mark which makes 'the whole' feel complete or that long hard stare that tells you that some areas of your art is just not working.

Looking and learning how to really see what you have done takes time.
